The Beginning of the Next 50 Years...

Before the fall of 2021, if you had asked my wife or me about United Marriage Encounter and its mission, we would have had no response. However, God had a plan that would pull us into this ministry and forge lasting bonds with a ministry family unlike any we had previously encountered.

After running into Karen Brookhart at an event in September and being introduced to Steve and Pam, God opened the doors for me to begin full-time with MESF just a month later. Although I was unfamiliar with the ministry's history, God revealed the significance of the work He had called many couples to do and the marriages they had impacted since 1975. Kelsey and I experienced our own Weekend Encounter in April 2022.

Emerging from our first Weekend with a clear understanding of what this ministry offered, our passion intensified to help ensure that marriages for generations could embrace God’s vision for their unions.

In the past three years, I have seen God utilize our MESF staff and the incredible UME volunteers to advance our ministry and prepare us for the next 50 years.

I envision our ministry reaching an increasing number of marriages in the coming decades. From providing trustworthy resources to hosting transformative events and Weekends, together we should aim to create a community of supportive couples who can mentor and accompany others on one of life’s most significant journeys. God has called us to reach marriages, and that’s precisely what we will accomplish as a ministry.
