Meeting your spouse's physical and emotional needs doesn't come naturally under the pressures most couples face daily.
A UME Weekend is intensive and intentionally designed to help couples step away from daily tasks and pressures to focus on each other. During this Weekend, each couple will learn a new way to communicate with their spouse. You will also receive additional tools and strategies to engage with one another, grow in your relationship and transform your marriage.
So, what happens during a Weekend, anyway?
Your focus will be on one another.
Hear from the seasoned marriage veterans.
Hear from trained ministry volunteers as they teach and demonstrate new communication tools you can use to strengthen your own marriage.
Time to focus on you two.
After each group session, you will be given time to work through a dialogue question in the privacy of your own room. This is an opportunity to connect (or reconnect) deeply with your spouse without distractions.
An intimate setting
A United Marriage Encounter Weekend is set up as a conference style setting with an average of 15 couples. After initial introductions, all subsequent group sharing will be voluntary.

The practical tools and time to connect with your spouse will leave you feeling closer than ever, prepared to re-enter the "real world" with new tools for navigating day-to-day life as a married couple!

What is UME, as an organization?
United Marriage Encounter is a worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to improving marriages. UME is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability,
which reflects the highest standards of Christian stewardship.
How much does a Weekend cost?
Besides the registration fee per couple, which ranges from $80-$100 based on location and covers supplies for the Weekend, the actual cost of the Weekend Experience ($840) has been paid for by couples who attended a Weekend before you. Each couple is given the opportunity during the Weekend to "Pay it Forward" to future couples.
